Reaching Japan in early 1995, Dream Theater witnessed the Great Hanshin earthquake on 17th January. Although they considered cancelling their pre-booked Japanese dates, they decided to continue, holding a minute's silence before each show in honour of those killed, injured or otherwise affected by the turmoil. Dream Theater's show at the Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on 24th January was recorded and broadcast in the finest audio quality over local FM radio, and is contained in its full glory on this two instalment set for the first time on vinyl. Including a superb selection of tracks from their current album and back catalogue, this recording goes to prove that, despite the hardships they faced, Dream Theater remain one of the most professional, talented and enduring acts in the business.
