The sole album by Aardvark is rightly considered among the pinnacles of British prog/psych. They were an early proponent of no-lead-guitar school of thought, and handled the majority of the melodic instrumentation via keyboards. In this case, you don't even miss the guitar. The keyboards not only fill the bill, but move their music to an unearthly level. Virtually every track on this monster LP has a significant amount of merit, and one in particular, the very highest order. And while it may have taken me a few years to warm to it, I am now of the opinion that track B1, "The Outing - Yes" is one of the most psychedelic tracks ever recorded.
