Whats in a name? As a tribute to his deceased brother, Brent Vanneste at age 13 decided to start his own band Steak Number Eight, referring to a song title of his brothers metal band Voidpoint. Today, Steak Number Eight are about to release their third album titled "KOSMOKOMA". This post-metal powerhouse has been inflicting their unique brand of sonic terrorism since they released their debut EP "When The Candle Dies Out, back in 2008.
KOSMOKOMA is an eleven-song long behemoth that clocks in at just over an hour and seven minutes. For the mix of the album, the band found a kindred spirit in triple Grammy-winning producer/engineer David Bottrill, known best for his work with Tool (Aenima & Lateralus), King Crimson (Thrak) and Muse (Origin of Symmetry).
