Born in 1946 in North Shields, England, John Lawton began his musical career with the band "West One" and the group "Stonewall", which included John Miles and Paul Thompson (later ROXY). Another station was the Les Humphries Singers in the 70s. The ex-frontman of the legendary Uriah Heep also impressed as the singer of the German cult band "Lucifer's Friend," with whom he recorded nine albums between 1969 and 1995. In 1976, John Lawton joined Uriah Heep as frontman, recorded the albums "Innocent Victim," "Firefly" and "Fallen Angel," and toured extensively with the group in Europe and the U.S. in 1979. S.A.
