Blue Floyd is a conglomeration of former/current members of the Allman Bros, Gov't Mule and the Black Crowes performing blues interpretations of Pink Floyd songs and while the concept may sound strange in reality the mix goes down just right. The band have been in existence for around ten years and during that time have built up a large and enthusiastic fan base for the bands unique blend of styles. Whilst the band have an almost fluid line up with members coming and going the concept remains a steady one and also one that is proving extremely popular in the live arena. This concert recording took place in January 2000 and features the line up of Allen Woody - guitar, bass & vocals, Matt Abts - drums, Marc Ford - guitar & vocals, Johnny Neel - keyboards, harmonica & vocals Berry Oakley - bass, percussion & vocals As well as the obvious blues workouts the band also include their own particular take on the Floyd classics.
