When Nasum singer/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk died in the Indian Ocean earthquake disaster, it appeared that the unstoppable Swedish grindcore act had also come to an untimely end. In a way it has, as the band is no longer active, but Relapse records has trotted out one last blast of blistering grindcore to remind fans what a thrilling, relentless live act Nasum were. DOOMBRINGER is an impeccably produced 25-minute set from Osaka, Japan, that finds the band in full fire-breathing form. Misanthropic blasts such as "I Hate People" and "Just Another Hog" rush by, taking skin, hair, and sanity with them.
