Compared to the previous works, Lesoir this time put much more intense focus on a progressive orientation, which gives preference to melody over sheer force. More than ever, they are concerned with a balance between lyrics, melody, groove and explosive dynamics that is as balanced as it is experimental and courageous. On 'Latitude', for example, they take great care to give the music room to breathe in the mix. Of course, it's a good thing that a wizard like John Cornfield, who was responsible for Muse's legendary "Absolution" sound, was at the controls.
