She made her concert debut, a classical recital, at the age of 12 as a promising young talent Young talent. Her parents, who had initially taken a seat in the front row to admire their daughter Daughter, were forced to move to the back of the hall to make room for a white audience To make room for a white audience. This experience awakened in Nina an aspiring Civil Rights activist. In 1958, she recorded her first studio album for Bethlehem Records.. ...followed by Colpix and Philips, and in 1967, RCA Victor. 'Nuff Said!" includes the hit singles "Ain't Got No - I Got Life" and the Bee Gees cover "To Love Somebody." After "Mississippi Goddam," from the same Album, Simone regularly incorporated civil rights messages into her recordings, thus and spread them in this way as part of her concerts. In 1969, Simone recorded "To Be Young, Gifted And Black", which was later re-recorded by Aretha Franklin and Donny Hathaway The Clamshell Box Set includes a 34-page booklet with the complete Nina Simone story, beautiful artist photos and background information on all 9 CDs of the RCA Collection
