The Harmony Codex (CD)
In 2022 he celebrated a much acclaimed comeback with Porcupine Tree. Just one year later, Steven Wilson has returned to his successful solo career with his new album "The Harmony Codex".
Whoever listens to the seventh Steven Wilson album has the feeling of losing himself in an Escher drawing that consists only of sound. In the ten tracks of the album, the musician navigates through a jumble of memories and leads the listener along paths on which shadows of reflection, thoughtfulness and melancholy spread.
Conceived and recorded "The Harmony Codex" was again largely by Steven Wilson himself. Some longtime studio partners such as Ninet Tayeb, Craig Blundell and Adam Holzman, as well as a number of first-time collaborators including Jack Dangers of Meat Beat Manifesto and Sam Fogarino of Interpol, assisted the maestro in the realization. Each musician was invited to put their individual stamp on the record. The snares, strings and sampled sounds each artist contributed were woven together to create the unique music on this album.
