Live In Tokyo = 2 LP = (LP)
"Live In Tokyo" is the first live album by jazz fusion pioneers Weather Report, recorded and released in 1972. The recording took place on January 13 at the Shibuya Philharmonic Hall in Tokyo, Japan. It was one of five sold-out concerts they played in Japan that month. The line-up at the time consisted of Joe Zawinul, Wayne Shorter, Miroslav Vitous, Eric Gravatt and Dom Um Romão. All of the music is collected in five long "medleys" from WR's repertoire, three of which contain extended versions of themes from the group's 1971 debut album of the same name.
