The Return To Form Black Magick Party (CD)
A former member of Liverpool electro-pop band LADYTRON, Pop Levi released his exotically named solo album, "The return to form black magick party", in February '07. Less slavishly retro than the work of his former band, the album seemingly channeled the spirit of Prince, Marc Bolan, and Roxy Music. The end result was a sound not unlike Goldfrapp's '06 album, "Supernature"--in short '60s melodies, '70s glam-rock beats, and '80s synth-driven electronica.
