Impressions Of Wonderful (CD)
The Motions from The Hague, Holland, were one of the larger groups of the 1960s Dutch beat explosion. They were formed from, among others, the remnants of Ritchie Clark and the Ricochets (opening for the Rolling Stones' historically shortest concert at the Kurhaus in Scheveningen). The Motions were formed by singer Rudy Bennett and guitarist / songwriter Robbie van Leeuwen, who left the band after the third The Motions album "Impressions Of Wonderful" to form a new band: Shocking Blue. "Impressions Of Wonderful" was The Motions' flower power album and was often referred to as the Dutch 'Sgt. Pepper' at the time. Despite the departure of Robbie van Leeuwen, the band was talented enough to become Holland's hitmakers for the next few years in the 60s.
