It was a while ago that an American critic put Eric Johnson's art of playing the guitar on a par with the perfection that Michelangelo displayed in the 16th century when he executed his most beautiful ceiling paintings. This comparison is certainly a bit far-fetched, but in essence it hits the nail on the head. As a 'Guitarists' Guitarist', the 62-year-old Texan is regarded by his peers as a master of his craft, and as such he is in the same league as Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai or Stevie Ray Vaughan.
