Stratovarius is a band thats sound never change much from album to album. In some cases this is good and in some bad. For me Stratovarius has always been a band that I enjoy, but sometimes it is just "meh". Elysium was "meh" after listening to few tracks, but when Event Horizon started, that thing changed! The last two songs are amazing! There are Symphony X stylish passages and killer riffs. And I swear that Timo Kotipelto sounded like Messiah Marcolin at one point in title track Elysium. After few listens Darkest Hours started to sound really good too. Also one thing to praise is the album art. It is one of the coolest album art ever!
