Montreal quartet AIDS WOLF have a firm grasp on their simple, uncompromising sound, which mainly consists of harrowing shards of noise coaxed from a pair of guitars and some primitive electronics supplemented by guttural wails, unrelenting percussion, and heaps of bad vibes. "Cities of glass" is of a piece with the rest of AIDS WOLF's punishingly dissonant output. Noise veteran Weasel Walter of The Flying Luttenbachers produced "Cities of glass" and is likely responsible for its raw but intriguing sonic textures.
