Slowly We Rot = LP, Green / Yellow = (LP)

Obituary's brand of death metal leans toward the slow, sludgy, ultra-heavy end of the spectrum, recalling the most dirge-like Black Sabbath songs. The band decided that it didn't want to be pigeonholed according to its lyrics, and, accordingly, most of what vocalist John Tardy utters can't be considered language; it's mostly random vocal sounds, shrieks, and guttural noises. Obituary pushes the limits of musical extremity, to say the least.
