At first I thought this band was a project made by known names from the German scene - the way the promotional texts were built - but it seems SCAVANGER is a 'normal' band featuring some known guests like Axel Ritt (GRAVE DIGGER, DOMAIN), Carsten Lizard Schulz (EVIDENCE ONE, DOMAIN), Juliano Scharf (BEFORE EDEN), Tommy Vitaly (SEVEN GATES) and Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL, ROUGH SILK). Ok with the guestlist, but what about the music itself? This German outfit seems to have also released another full CD one year earlier, while "Between The Devil And The Sea" comes off via Rock It Up Records. Reading carefully some information about them while giving the album the first few spins, it was not a difficult task to find out SCAVANGER is passionate about traditional German and wider mid-European Metal. They are quite young at age (all of them below 30) so it's quite impossible they caught up with the glorious 80s, hence their songwriting motives seem to lay enough to their adoration for the neat past of Metal music.
