Cry Tough (CD)
Former Grin guitarist and vocalist Nils Lofgren has been a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band for decades. There was a time in the mid-'70s when both men seemed to hold the future of rock 'n' roll in their hands along with their guitars. You'll encounter the rock anthems and biting guitar licks for which Nils is famous (as a soloist and E Street Band member) as you hear 'Cry Tough', co-produced by Al Kooper. Every song features a top notch solo from Lofgren, and they all rock! The band is excellent with fine contributions from the likes of Al Kooper on organ, Aynsley Dunbar and Jim Gordon on drums and backing vocals by P.P. Arnold, Claudia Lennear and Buddy Miles.
