For the 40th anniversary (August 21, 1977) the legendary debut is now released again as a deluxe CD with red cover, silver logo and 12 bonus tracks!
Without a valid record contract, Motörhead decided in the spring of 1977 to disband due to lack of success and to give one last concert. During this concert, Ted Carroll of Chiswick Records was present and subsequently offered the musicians a record contract for a single. The recordings resulted in a full album, which was released in September 1977 under the title "Motörhead"
It was produced by ex-Thunderclap Newman "Speedy" Keen and recorded in the line-up Kilmister, Taylor and Clarke. Number 43 in the British album charts meant the first commercial success of the band. What was to follow is known!
