Front Page News (CD)
Front Page News is the eight album for The Bones and the second album with guitarist Laurie Wisefield. The album was produced by Ron Albert who engineered Derek and the Dominos and the Allman Brothers and gave Wishbone Ash a stronger sound on the one hand and some folky elements on the other. The folky sound now brought back, were missing on the last few albums and with bringing that back into the Ash sound it's getting a bit more of a songwriters guitar feel. Andy Powell even does some nice touches on the mandolin. Ron Albert gave Wishbone Ash a fresh sound and of course the dual lead guitars of Andy Powell and Laurie Wisefield are not forgotten.
