For those of you coming to this LP via their next LP which has fans in the prog, funk, and jazz camps (the one with the green lady and the butterfly) and expecting this to be a similar sounding funk/jazz affair, this is not the case. That is not to say this LP is without its merits. I'd say about 1/2 of these tracks are really nice rock tracks with horns and some excellent guitar work. The other half of the tracks skirt a kind of sub Chicago/Blood Sweat and Tears realm. However, its all definitely more rock than anything on the green cover one. All in all tho, a very nice LP to grab especially if you are a fan of the early work of the 2 bands mentioned above and you like your Euro-prog with horns.
