Hailing from the death metal killing swamps of Florida, Nasty Savage had themselves a curious reputation. They never delved into the excessive excesses of thrash metal, but the weight and force of their performances saw them win allegiance with far more extreme acts. Their 1985 debut album was a cool little record we discussed earlier, but the consistency and personality of Indulgence stands as their finest hour. Singer Nasty Ronnie, a part time wrestler and manic stage personality, brought a sort of Alice Cooper theatric notion to the band, his uniquely limber vocals becoming the band's most identifiable puzzle piece.
