August Redmoon are the legendary LA heavy metal group that were originally formed in early 1980 by MICHAEL HENRY on Lead vocals, RAY WINSLOW on Guitar, GARY WINSLOW on Bass and DAVID YOUNG on Drums.
Highly inspired by the burgeoning New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the UK, they were at the forefront of the early 1980s metal scene in Los Angeles and Hollywood, a scene that gave the world Van Halen, Motley Crue and Dokken.
Having only one official release, 1982's now very collectable "Fools Are Never Alone" EP, they also featured on the highly influential "Metal Massacre IV" LP; a series of compilation albums that also brought Metallica, Ratt, Armored Saint, Slayer and Metal Church, among many others, to public attention, many of whom August Redmoon toured with at the time. The band also went through a series of name changes, including Terracuda and eventually Eden.
This remastered reissue offers a "complete recordings" set that includes the bonus track 'One In A Million', rare demos and rehearsals as well as extensive liner notes by LA HM expert Bob Nalbandian, presenting as complete a picture as possible of the band's career. August Redmoon reformed in 2013, and feature in the upcoming documentary "Inside L.A. Metal".
