VALTA ("Power") is a visual experience filled with vivid imaginary; every song resembles a short movie. Musical styles vary from Nu Orleans street baroque to Balkan traffic jams, limping through odd-time kebop and creepy circus acts all the way to wall-crumbling oppression metal, finally leaving the exhausted listener intoxicated by snake vapors, still mesmerized by Zen-like harmony crystallized in rhytmically harnessed water droplets. The unique Alamaailman Vasarat sound can be recognized right from the beginning of the album, but compared to earlier releases VALTA introduces a darker, thicker, even more energetic and purer side to the band, expanding the aural palette further than ever before. VALTA does not dictate, but it does mesmerize, making it difficult for the listener leave the album halfway. VALTA must be handled without precautions; the VALTA dosage prescribed by the band is like this - eat it raw and whole, straight under the skin, no dilution.
