The project Songs Between Cities and Waterholes took place in 1992, as a European stage tour and a recording. On stage and in studio this became an exciting mixture of four independent characters and many musical ideas and influences. It was a unique co-operation between Chris Cutler, Sten Sandell , Lars "Lach'n" Jonsson and Niklas Billström. The result was a music beyond borders; an expression between cultures, between ancient and modern forms. The first four songs on this CD were earlier released on a CD-Ep on Bauta Records. (BAR 9303). This new release is extended with three more songs recorded live from the tour in april 1992. But on this new CD there is also other material; three songs (never published before) which were composed and recorded around this project later, during 1993. There were plans for a new Songs Between tour that year that never happened.
