The Good, The Bad & The Upsetters (CD)
Re-release of arguably the most controversial The Upsetters album on CD. The Upsetters were Lee Scratch Perry's studio band, some of the musicians would later work with Bob Marley as The Wailers.
"The Good, The Bad & The Upsetters" was recorded in England at a time the band was touring there.
Lee Perry was not present on this tour, so the album was created without him. Thus a conflict was pre-programmed. Lee Perry was furious about the betrayal, declared the album null and void and years later recorded an album of the same name with completely different tracks to "overwrite" the work.
That "The Good, The Bad & The Upsetters" nevertheless contains 12 successful reggae instrumentals is simply due to the quality of the musicians.
