Since Some Girls the Rolling Stones had never released a truly great album for almost 40 years, until this one came out. This band has always been deeply associated with the very roots of rocks 'n' roll, and a prime example for that is given when in the year of 2016, they release an entire album made up of covers for blues classics from the '30 to '50s - which also happens to be one of the best and most enjoyable albums they ever made. When compared to their early cover albums that started their career in the '60s, this album is much better, featuring a fuller, greatly-produced sound. Their instrumental abilites (including contribution from legendary guitarist Eric Clapton on two tracks), and even Jagger's vocals, are brought to perfection through the entire album, in which they add new life to some of the songs that helped shaping the basis of rock 'n' roll.
