The album has barely begun and the guitar isn't growling until the end of this Guitar growls until the end of this opening minute, yet even these fleeting moments celebrate an almost palpable iciness. However, when you pull yourself together - like physical cold - pull yourself together and march on with lowered head head down, "Newspaper Spoons" moves from the distinctive, almost military-like almost military drumbeat to a melody that still seems threatening, but at the same time threatening, but at the same time fragile and almost transcendent
