In 2011, on the occasion of the Impulse label's 50th anniversary, a new CD series was released for the first time, each with two albums by one artist on one CD. Despite the low price, the arguments for the visually striking series were convincing: Some of the albums were released here for the first time on CD, all recordings were digitally remastered for the re-releases, and the complete LP artworks were faithfully reproduced in the color booklets. Because it was so beautiful - and successful - it now continues with twelve new episodes.
