Arthur Brown appeared on international rock stages at the end of the 1960s. He drew attention to himself through eccentric demonstrations, with burning helmets and nude performances. His debut album The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, named after his band at that time, was a huge surprise success on both sides of the Atlantic in 1968. Carl Palmer (drums, later Emerson, Lake and Palmer), Vincent Crane (keyboard, later Atomic Rooster) and Pete Townshend (from The Who) were involved in the recording as producers. The single Fire became a worldwide success. In the summer of 1968, The Crazy Word Of Arthur Brown were on top of the world Cherry Red now releases the 50th Anniversary Edition of this legendary album as a 12" x 12" deluxe box set, which presents the original album on 3 CDs in stereo with numerous bonus tracks and the rare mono mix - as well as three previously unreleased BBC sessions, four radio sessions and recordings made before 1968. In addition there is a stereo vinyl replica of the album including poster.
