Small Boats (CD)
If you enjoy the early Meic Stevens albums, the alternative folk of Tony, Caro & John and the early '70s UK underground folk boom, you'll love 'Small Boots'. The songs here are very well composed, played with electric and acoustic instruments (guitar, violin, recorder, cello, bass, chimes and clarinet) and the vocals are beautiful. This album is a genuine masterpiece, recorded in 1980-1981. Steve said: "My musical education came from the folk clubs of Bedfordshire, Fairport Convention, John Peel, West Coast bands like Love, Jefferson Airplane and the Doors, Punk, The Beach Boys and of course the Beatles".
