As much as The Beatles had denied, yet placed clues to the nature of Paul's death ... The Rolling Stones seemed to developing more and more connections with the darker, satanic side of music, embracing, and playing up their own personal Robert Johnson, 'standing at the crossroads,' deal with the devil. And while the album certainly opens with the up tempo track "Sympathy For The Devil," they quickly shift gears, dropping into one of the most beautiful songs ever written, "No Exceptions," and then move in and out of this pattern for the rest of the release.
