Vicious doesn't do justice to Black Breath's second album Sentenced To Life. Their debut Heavy Breathing had its brutal parts, but they were balanced with groovy, rocking tempo changes. That philosophy is no more, as Sentenced To Life welcomes metallic hardcore to their crossover thrash. That seemingly small change makes a world of difference in latching onto this album. The songs are shorter, the impact is direct, and the whiplash lasts for several days.
