In September 1968, Amon Düül played at the "International Essen Song Days", the first five-day rock festival in Germany, which was initiated by the later Ohr label boss Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser. The Berlin music producer Peter Meisel heard and saw the band there and spontaneously signed them, along with Tangerine Dream and Birth Control. Amon Düül was close to Berlin's "Kommune 1" and was formed at a time when everyone was an artist who wanted to be one. And so anyone who wanted to could be a musician. Together, as a collective, anything was possible. Angelika and Helge Filanda, Wolfgang Krischke, Ulrich Leopold, Rainer and Ella Bauer, Peter Leopold and Uschi Obermaier recorded a session high in the sky in Meisel's studio that broke all the rules and turned all listening habits upside down. The recordings initially ended up in the poison cupboard, and it wasn't until a year later that Meisel dared to release them under the title Psychedelic Underground. Here is the sequel: the double LP Disaster/Lüüd Noma was released in 1972, when the group Amon Düül had already ceased to exist, and it presents further recordings from the same session.
