Stan The Man Live (CD)
Maybe the best CS live album, maybe better than "Simply Live". The opening track "Going Up Going Down" is actually "Baby What You Want Me to Do". A good start, and next here's BB King's "The Thrill is Gone"'s fantastic version, which is on Webb's repertoire over the years. Another standard is "Last Night", a fabulous slow blues, which titled as "Lost the Best Friend I Ever Had". And next a Webb original, a standing piece of concerts, the very improvisative "C. S. Opera", with a very simple rhythm track, but good solos. Stan slides on "Broken Hearted Melody", and after some wah-wah work on "Poor Boy" including Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well". This track is better than ever.
