A unique and unexpected piece of very British rock. A kind of socialist workers manifesto with skinhead overtones which is extremely unusual and original for 1970. Usually for this type of proto-punk album, and a real plus, is that it is really well engineered and executed. "Ascension Day" sounds as if it could have recorded anytime from 1970 - 1990.
