Spooky Tooth grew out of the British band Art who in turn had grown out of the British R'n'B band the VIP's. Adding American keyboard player Gary Wright the band released their debut album It's All About in 1968 along with their debut single, a cover of The Band's The Weight. The following year 1969 saw the band release what is considered to be their most popular album, Spooky Two.
