After almost four decades of band history, Grammy-nominated Swedish epic doom legends Candlemass are still among the heaviest metal bands in the universe With releases like "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" (1986) and "Nightfall" (1987), the forefathers of epic doom metal redefined the genre. Their droning riffs and dramatic vocals resulted in a distinctive style that changed the world of metal forever. The band around founding member Leif Edling finds back to their roots with singer Johan Langquist and presents the long-awaited new album "Sweet Evil Sun", which will be released in November 2022 via Napalm Records. After a total of 18 months of intense work, Candlemass brings back all the force of their early years with their work of art Sweet Evil Sun, reflecting themes of ambition, hope and failure in their music
