Marissa Nadler is known for her very own sound - a mixture of pop and folk influenced by the classical singer-songwriter genre, always with a melancholic dark colouring and great depth. With this the musician has so far equipped seven longplayers. On her new album "Strangers" she has now perfected this mixture even further. The singer gave a first impression of this with the single "Janie In Love" - a dark folk ballad in electronic pop garb. The dreamy voice of Nadler stands above everything. In total Marissa Nadler composed and wrote eleven new songs for "Strangers". As on her previous album "July" she worked with Randall Dunn, who is known for his work with Black Mountain and Wolves in the Throne Room.
