The Man With The Horn = Japanese = (CD)
After six years of isolation and physical pain, without performing or recording, this was Miles Davis' comeback album. Together with his famous producer Teo Macero they went back into the Columbia Studios and got the band together: The three exceptional first appearances were Bill Evans on tenor sax, Marcus Miller on bass, Mike Stern on one track. The other remarkable appearance was singer and keyboarder Randy Hall, who did a performance most Miles fans were shocked about. A disappointing choice was Barry Finnerty on guitar. But a cool choice was Al Foster on drums.
