Firebird = 2 LP = (LP)
It's rather difficult to write a review of a Gazpacho album as, and I hesitate to say this as it sounds somewhat negative, but they all sound similar. It's not that they re-hash the same old material again and again, like a modern day Status Quo, but the feel and the pacing and delivery are remarkably consistent throughout their entire recorded oeuvre. This, of course, can be a good thing - giving the potential purchaser little difficulties when deciding whether or not to get their favourite artist's latest. On the other hand there can be too much of a good thing. I do find that the latter is somewhat true of this album. Yes, all the expected elements are present but it does lack a certain something - a spark if you like, that's present somewhere within each release.
