OLETHRIO RIGMA is a band that was created 18 years ago from the union of two Greek hardcore/punk bands, OLETHROS and RIGMA. For 18 years they are devoted to hardcore/punk musically as also lyrically. Even though they don't belong to the Greek DIY movement for many years now, they have never betrayed their values. This release gives us a collection of old songs along with 3 new tracks, plus a DVD featuring the band's live performance in 2005 Rockwave Festival in Athens. Even though in the musical part this band is not making the difference, for the certain genre of "Greek Punk" is a cult name! Their music has all the elements of Greek hardcore/punk with some fast and a lot of slow parts where the singer actually speaks more than sings. The vocals are both male and female giving a special color to the songs. As the time passed they adopted more metal influences in their music. In the lyrical part, if you take a a short look at the titles of the songs you will realize at once what they are dealing with, "Cops, Pigs, Murderers", "Fucking Homeland", "Kill The Children", "Terror of Authority"... This anthology will wake up memories from riots, nights in the squat of Villa Amalias and Exarcheia Square to some certain group of people...!
