Fifth Element (CD)
Another solid album from Jade Warrior. This one is definitely a grower, and improves with repeated plays. There are some blistering guitar solos on here, but the overall sound is not heavy but more reflective. The whole album is a mixture of styles and instruments, with Focus/Jethro Tull style flutes giving way to Santana style salsa rhythms and then their own dreamy, floating passages of interweaving harmonies. Short and sweet album all done and dusted at a shade under 36 minutes.
