Try to imagine Bjork performing in the style of Pet Clark or Dusty Springfield and you would get a pretty good idea of what Doris is all about. Not a must have album, but definitely an interesting one to have in your collection. The highlight is the trippy "You Never Come Closer" which has a rather interesting disorientating effect on the listener. Very strange stuff indeed. There is also an odd cover of the Band's "Whispering Pines".
