In the 31st year of their band history, Big Big Train will release their new studio album in 2021: "Common Ground" is the 13th longplayer of the British retro-prog band, the successor of "Grand Tour" from 2019. Big Big Train recorded the album last year at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios, as well as other studios in the UK, US and Sweden. They took care of the production themselves In addition to BBT songwriters and core members David Longdon (lead vocals), Gregory Spawton (bass), Rikard Sjöblom (guitars, keyboards, vocals) and Nick D'Virgilio (drums, vocals), "Common Ground" also features Carly Bryant (keyboards, vocals) and Dave Foster (guitars), as well as a guest appearance by fiddler Aidan O'Rourke of Scottish folk pioneers Lau.
