British metal has had a rough ride over the last few years - let's not forget that like football, cricket & rugby, Metal is predominantly a British invention (...we can argue about that later, OK?) so we should be pretty good at it, right? The reformation of NWOBHM maestros and the band widely credited with the origination of the doom sound is cause for good cheer, then... Rekuiem feature in their line-up demon guitarist Steve Slater and current Diamond Head drummer Karl Wilcox - indeed, Diamond Head's guitarist Brian Tatler makes a guest appearance on the album - and the material on offer is classic British style Heavy Metal - no messing! Also included is a superbly re-arranged version of Sabbath's classic 'Paranoid' that was given an enthusiastic thumbs up by Ozzy & Sharon.
