On 'Doomsdaylight', Rutthna mix slow as hell doom with a more abrasive Black Metal sound, that comes off like a rough approximation of a modernised Celtic Frost. The riffs are almost without exception, ponderous and dirge-like. When the music starts to pick up some semblance of pace, alas it's coupled with a fairly humdrum, coarse, vocal attack that when combined together is unlikely to get your pulse racing through either it's jawdropping levels of invention or teeth shaking bursts of speed.
