When the self-titled debut album of The Apocalypse Blues Revue was released almost exactly two years ago, it was not quite clear at first whether this band project with guitarist Tony Rombola, drummer Shannon Larkin, bassist Brian Carpenter and vocalist Ray "Sir Rafer John" Cerbone would last. After all, Rombola and Larkin are very busy and doing good business with their regular band Godsmack, which is located at the interface of hard rock, metal and post-grunge - their new album has just been released and a long tour is in the pipeline In the meantime, however, it has become clear that the two cannot and will not give up their parallel passion for dark, partly psychedelically-influenced blues rock. Fans can be happy, because the Apocalypse Blues Revue is going into its second and probably not last round with a new longplayer.
