If you talk about Chicago Blues, you inevitably have to mention the name Howlin' Wolf. Wolf was an icon, a unique artist, for Omar Dykes a great inspiration, a role model. He knew how to make songs of other artists his own like no other Austin, Texas-based Omar and The Howlers have now taken fourteen immortal classics to the chest and contribute another song inspired by Howlin' Wolf. Dykes, who sounds like DJ Wolfman Jack when he sings, has been part of what could be called a musical treasure trove since 1976.
