He plays alto saxophone, bass, clarinet and flute, accompanied by Freddie Hubbard on trumpet, Jaki Byard on piano, George Tucker on bass and Roy Haynes on drums On "Out There", also recorded for prestige in 1960, Ron Carter on cello, George Duvivier on bass and Roy Haynes on drums.
